Located in Ses Salines, in the south of Mallorca, this old “village house” has been transformed in depth to multiply the sensation of spaciousness and homogenise the spaces through the materials and shapes. The doors and walls are made of lime mortar and the floor, on the other hand, is made from a natural stucco that extends the length of the house and coexists with the oak of the bedrooms on the first floor. The curved shapes of the tables and washbasins designed by the studio give continuity and calm to a reduced dwelling that opens onto a small geometric courtyard with a swimming pool. Nuanced and restrained, this small residential refuge from which the island of Cabrera can be glimpsed, combines traditional and contemporary features.
