The Son Vic project is an intervention in an 18th-century historic home, where respect for the original structure, natural light, and bespoke design have been key. The overall concept is based on creating a balance between contemporary and traditional elements, with a careful integration of exclusive features.
In the common areas, light-toned finishes enhance the natural light, highlighting original architectural details such as stone arches and moldings. The main fireplace, designed with clean lines and materials that engage with the space, is complemented by an iron grill and local stone from the studio’s birthplace, offering a nod to the home’s antiquity.
In the bedrooms, custom canopy beds define the double-height space, blending dark woods with reclaimed timber. The bathrooms feature solid stone custom-made sinks that bring a sense of solidity, and clay bathtubs as central pieces, all harmonized with restored woodwork.
In the kitchen, the original structure is preserved, featuring a recycled wood island and traditional open shelves that respect the home’s heritage. Every piece of furniture has been exclusively designed, combining noble materials like stone, reclaimed wood, and microcement to create a serene and welcoming atmosphere—true to the identity of the space and the needs of the client.
