Villa Can Alma

The big family

Germans with strong ties to Spain, the owners of this three-storey villa were looking for a change of atmosphere that would bring warmth and cleanliness to their original, excessively rustic and cluttered design. The refurbishment focused on transforming the living room, dining room and kitchen into an open-plan space with a large bespoke bench and a marble island that presides over the room and was custom-made by a local marble worker. The contrast between this material, which is the same as that of the sink, with the natural stone of the bathrooms and the rest of the house, and the oak wood of the furniture designed by the studio, is the key to the project. The walls plastered with lime mortar changed the original aseptic white paint for a less cold and more welcoming one to create the perfect setting for the lamps by the designer Tonia Fuster and the made-to-measure tables designed specifically for the house.
